Turkey's illegal and provocative actions were discussed, at the European council. The Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, said that Turkey's illegal and aggressive activities were not, originally, included in the two-day meeting agenda, but after a consultation with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, these criminal acts were added to the list of topics.
"The planned agenda was, primarily, about BREXIT and climate change" the premier explained but current events have made imperative the addition of other issues, such as the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic that Europe is facing and Turkey's consistent provocative and aggressive behaviour. The same consistency must be shown by the European Union as well in implementing decisions it has already taken."
Referring to Friday's summit of the European Council, the Greek Premier said that he will "have the opportunity to brief his colleagues on Turkey's new provocations against Greece and Cyprus.with the recent display of the Oruc Reis and another drilling vessel within the Greek continental shelf as well as the unacceptable violation of the United Nations Security Council decision about violence in Cyprus.
Earlier on Thursday, France and Germany accused Turkey of continuing to provoke the EU with its actions in the eastern Mediterranian and gave it one week to clarify its position.
"It is clear to us that Turkey is permanently carrying out provocations which are unacceptable", French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves le Drian said, German Foreign Minister, Heiko Moas, called Turkey's decision to send a vessel back to the Mediterranea as "inadmissible".
Later, on the 17th October, Erdogan declared that "without Turkey, the European Union will collapse"!!! What a ridiculous personality! How can the Turks put up with such an absurd but, also, dangerous leader? Quo Vadis Erdogan?
