Greece is becoming a European hub if liquified gas (LNG) as demand grows in the wake of the war in Ukraine, Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis told the international conference on LNG held in Athens on Wednesday.
Mitsotakis presented the new infrastuctures that have been implemented or are beeing built and which allows for an increase in naturaal gas exports.
Currently, mahor LNG-related projects either under construction. expanding or beeing planned are underway in five locations in Greece.
Within two years. these projects could more than double in the country's capacity to handle world shipments of LNG.
