At the Vatican Museums becomes the latest collection to return the Parthenon marbles to Athens, the British Museum continues to give short shrift to Greece's call for repatriation.
One of the most surpising claims the British Museum makes when refusing repartiation is that the marbles are vetter off divided between two museums.
According to this argument there is the positive advantsge and public benefit in the division the Acropolis Museum allows us to view the glories of ancient Greece in the context of Athenian history and the British in context of world history.
PLEASE DON/T FORGET THAT THE PARTHENON MARBLES MUST RETURN TO GREECE.
