Agnodice was the first woman doctor in Athens ancient Greece whose storyhas been held tight by midwives for millenia according to the Roman author Gaius Hyginus Fabulrius.
Women with medical knowledge can be traced back to the story of Agnodice but some argue that she was not a real woman but a lengend.
