The pyramid-like peak of mount Taygetos in the southern Peloponnese has been captured in all its glory by a drone video.
The name of the mountain is one of the oldest recorded in Europe appearing in the Odyssey. In classical mythology it was associated to the nymph Tayete from whom it was named after.
The Taygetus massive is about 100 km long extending from the center of the Peloponnese to cape Matapan in its southermost extremity.
