FIVE OF ILLIAD'S LESSER KNOWN CHARACTERS MAKE THE GRANDEST STORY EVER TOLD

Homer's epic poem tells the events of the final year of the ten-year-old Trojan war  In the story the Greek army besieges Troy after the Abduction of the Spartan queen Hellen by the Trojan prince Paris.  

Much of the story followes Achilles the near invulnarable Greek hero and his rivalvary of the Greek army's commander Agamemnon. On the opposite side is the leader of the Trojans.
