1 large onion chopped
2 celery ribs chopped
500 g (2 lbs) fresh mushrooms. sliced
1/2 butter
2 cups chicken broth
1/3 cup minced fresh parsley
2 tsp rubbed sage
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups bead cubes
One 6 kilo turkey
Melted butter
In a large saucepan saute the onions, celery and mushrooms until tender. Add broth and seasoning and mix well. Add the bread cubes and pour in enough warm water to reach desired moistness. Stuff the turkey losely, brush with melted butter and tie the neck part with string and tie the legs together. Bake for 3 1/4 to 3 1/2 hours until crisp and moist. Serve sliced with garlic potatoes a salad of your choice.
