The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce will be housing
their “Summer Lovers – White and Red” wine tasting event, giving people the
chance to tour the Aegean and Ionian Islands.
The program is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the 26th
of August at 4.0 pm. Those who will join
will be able to explore Greece’s many regions, through an in-depth tour of the
islands as well as introduce some of the country’s largest producers.
Grapes from the islands including Cephalonia, Crete and
Santorini will be in the main focus of the event, with subjects also including
vineyard terroir and a little history about each location. Varieties such as Robola, Mavrodaphne Vidano,
Kotsifali and Assyrtiko will also be featured.
The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce was formed over 70
years ago for the purpose of strengthening the economic and cultural ties
between the two nations.
