Large marchers of protestors over the death of 15-year-old Alexis
Grigoropoulos are taking part all over Greece. Thousands of high-school children
joined the peaceful rally together with the general public.
Unfortunately, anarchists joined the rally and clashed with
police after preparing hand-made Molotov bombs and destroying buildings and pavements
with sledge-hammers. They also attacked the
police with the bombs and pieces of concrete forcing them to retaliate with
tear-gas which made the rally to disperse. Consequently, numerous anarchists were imprisoned.
Gina Tsalikian, Alexis’ mother made a plea that her son’s
murder will not be used as an excuse for violence. Alexis hated violence, she added.
