Elefsina the European Capital of Culture for 2023, honours Melina Mercouri with an exhibition showing the longest lasting Minister of Culture to this date.
Mercouri who passed away in 1994, is considered in the minds of millions of Greeks as an actress, an activist a politician and above all a great Greek.
Mercouri loved Greece and she epitomized the Hellenic spirit becoming its Ambassador worldwide.
