Former Finance Minister of Syriza government Yiannis Varoufakis, who is now the leader of his own political party known as MERA was brutally attacked and beaten by a group of five individuals in face coverings while dining with his wife in a restaurant in Exarcheia, central Athens. He thanked everyone for their solidarity.
