WORLDWIDE UPRISINGS AGAINST UNEQUALITY

The violent mass demonstrations that are taking place in the USA is not only because of racism and police aggression.  The unfair murder of  George Floyd was only the reason for this fury because discrimination is not only connected with colour, or race or country of origin or religion.  The situation is apparently beyond control.

The French Police  After Violent  Riots

The chasm between the privileged and the poor is constantly growing so whole groups have become marginal and are violently beyond the law.  In France, armed policemen appeared in several sections of Dijon after serious incidents took place between Chechens and Africans.  The riots occurred due to previous "bad blood" between the two parties at Grisaille, a district where many Arab and African migrants live, according to Dijon's mayor Bernard  Smelts. Cars and rubbish bins we set on fire before the police arrived.  The public prosecutor of Dijon, Eric Matias, said that an inquiry started for the incitement for attempted murder by an organisation and the instigation of violence.  According to Matias, Tsetsans used the inter calling for revenge on a national level, due to an attack against a member of their community by residents of African descent.

In Otmon in northern France, a bust of Charles de Gaulle was vandalised by an angry crowd that painted the statue in phosphorised orange and wrote on the pedestal: "A slavery partisan".

Fires Destroy Banks and Shops in Beirut and other Cities in Lebanon

In Lebanon, the middle class is brought in a very difficult economic situation due to the credit crunch.  Latly, hundreds of citizens have demonstrated all over the country, setting banks and shops on fire, angrily protesting against the unprecedented economic and the numismatic crisis that has hit the land. Unfortunately, one  person died and many are injured,

The most alarming is that this situation might be generalised, as COVID 19 has destroyed the economy of all countries resulting that the chasm between rich and poor is constantly growing.  There is no doubt that very soon the protests against racism will be converted into protests against unemployment and poverty which will concern the largest part of the world's population.
