Aspasia was born in Greece in the 5th century BC. and she and Pericles fell deeply in love. What else is known about Aspasia, not a lot, and yet she was famous in her time an iconic and independent woman so much that she inspired author Yvonne Korshak to write a novel to bring her to life.
