GREEK-TURKISH RELATIONS OVER CYPRUS

 

Tensions between Greece and Turkey have deteriorated recently as the USA has lifted an arms embargo from the Greek Cypriot administration.

Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavousoglu, criticized the United States for its stance towards Greece, saying that the  United States has become a toy of Athens over the Cyprus issue. 

President Jo Biden also criticized Turkey for saying constantly that half the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea are Turkish!

The American President warned Erdogan against false accusations against the USA and Greece but Erdogan remained unmoved..

America refused to send war plains to Turkey while Greece is extending a bilateral military agreement with the USA to counteract the tension caused by Turkey in the Aegean Sea. 

It is very unfortunate that we Greeks have such deplorable neighbors.
