THE ANCIENT GREEK MYTH OF THESEUS AND THE MINOTAUR

Greek Mythology contains some of the most fascinating myths in the world. The myth of Theseus and the Minotaur is one of the most tragic and fascinating myths Greek Mythology offered the world.

Until British archaeologist, Sir Arther Evans. unearthed the palace of Knossos, the story of the half-man-half-bull killed by Theseus inside the labyrinth was considered a popular myth.  However, archaeology changed this perception.

Theseus, a genuine Greek hero, and Minotaur a terrifying monster are the main protagonists that involve gods and monsters, heroes and kings, and two of the main city-states of the Hellenic world Athens and Crete.
