KOUROU PASTRY WITH A FILLING OF YOUR CHOICE

 



1 kg  strong flour

650 gr cold butter, cubed

250 ml milk

40 gr fresh yeast

2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp sugar

1 whipped egg


Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the milk and set aside for 15 minutes.  In a bowl mix the flour. baking powder and salt and make a hole in the middle and add the butter and whipped egg. 

Mix the dough with your hands and add the yeast and mixture.  Knead well, cover, and place in the fridge for 1 hour.

Roll out the pastry in two pieces, place the filling of your choice on one pastry sheet, cover with the other and seal well. Bake for 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 C (350 F)
