GREECE'S MOUNTAIN TEA AND ITS ANCIENT GREEK SECRETS OF HEALING

Three-year-old Joy Cocali loves tea now

Greeks are not known for their love of tea, as for example, the British and Russian people are.  However, when it comes to tea, the first variety one would think of is "chai tou vounou" or Greek mountain tea.

"Sideritis" as it is officially called has been consumed since antiquity as a medicine, as well as a refreshment.

Ancient, medieval and modern Greeks also use this herb to boost energy and memory and up to this very day, it continues to be the most popular herb tisane in the country.
