The suggestion that ancient Greeks reached America before Columbus might seem farfetched but researchers think otherwise.
The idea is based entirely on a new examination of a dialogue written by the Greek historian Plutarch,ri who lived from 46 to 119 BC.
Dr. Ioannis Liritzis professor of archaeology at the University of the Aegean studied Plutarch's texts and came up with the theory that ancient Greeks did reach America.
