The European Union voiced concern over the hostile remarks of President Erdogan falsely accused Greece of aggression .
We Greeks, are extremely unfortunate of having such aggressive neighbors.
"The continuous hostile remarks by the political leadership of Turkey against Greece raise serious concerns and fully contradict the much-needed de-escalation efforts in the Eastern Mediterranean," Peter Stano, spokesman for the European Union, and Foreign Chief Josep Borelli both said in a statement.
"Threats of aggressive rhetoric are unacceptable and need to stop" they added underlying EU demands that differences "be settled peacefully and with full respect of international law."
"The EU reiterates its expectations from Turkey to seriously work on de-escalating tensions in a sustainable way in the interest of the regional stability in the Eastern Mediterranean and fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all EU member states," Stano said.
