Costas Kazakos was a Greek actor, director and politician in the Communist party of Greece, was born in 1935 in Pyrgos Ilias. He studied at the Drama School of Theatro Technis (Art Theatre) under the supervision of Karolos Koun. He made his stage debut in 1957 and then collaborated with many serious stage groups. He also played supporting roles in some films. But his real breakthrough came in 1967 when he was offered the lead in the film "Conserto yia Polyvola" (Concert for Guns) also in 1967 opposite Jenny Karezi whom he married, created their own stage company and they had one child. Unfortunately, she died in 1972.
He married Jenny Colia in 1997 and had three children. He passed away on the 13th of September 2022, he was 87 years old, he was treated at the "Athens General Hospital Evangeismos Polyclinic since July 26th 2022 with respiratory problems.
Our sincere condolences to his loved ones but let them be consoled by the fact that he was a magnificent and popular actor, much admired by his audiences. May he rest in peace.
