The Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends is a
web-based and permanently updated information and mobility system of cultural policies
in the European Union.
The compendium has been run by the Council of Europe as a
joint venture with ERIcares initiative run from 1998-2017, the Compendium
acquired a new, more dynamic governance and business model and is now run by
the Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends, the seat of which is in the
Netherlands. The Association Structure
enables most Stakeholders and specialists in the fields of culture to play the
role in the Compendium’s development.
The targets of the Compendium of Cultural Policies and
Trends in Europe are:
1. Researchers to conduct comparative policy analysis.
2. Networks for
providing input for their own countries comparing them with other countries.
3. Students as an information resource they can use in their
courses on cultural administration and policy.
