Rescue crews found three people whose helicopter crashed in the sea off the island of Samos, as they battled a wildfire. A fourth person is still missing.
Two of the passengers were taken to a hospital and were unconscious according to AMNA, The pilot was from Romania and he was also taken to the same hospital.
In addition to the pilot, the helicopter was said to be carrying two Moldovian operators and a Greek liaison translator.
Unfortunately, a Romanian national and a Greek liaison translator died in the crash, while a Moldovian national survived according to Reuters.
Nine vessels, five from the Greek Coast Guard, two from the army and two private as well as a helicopter took part in the rescue operation.
