The Greek parliament approved a 3 billion Euro agreement for three French-made frigates that defense officials say are vital for addressing ongoing tensions with neighboring Turkey.
Lawmakers also voted in favor of adding 6 new Rafael fighter jets to an existing order of 18 planes.
NATO members Greece and Turkey remain at odds over maritime boundaries, mineral exploitation and Turkey's violent aggression against Greece and Cyprus.
