The Three Kings of Epiphany, called Melchior from Persia, Gaspar from India and Baltazar from Arabia
Epiphany also known as Theophania, the Baptism of Christ, Little Christmas it celebrates the baptism of Christ and the revelation of the Holy Trinity and the blessing of the sea, rivers and lakes.In Greece the water is blessed by the priest and a tiny cross is dropped into the freezing water and brave young men and boys jump into the water and hands it back to the priest to be blessed by him.
In Greece we have a very aproprate wish for the day "Kali Photisi" which is roughly in Greek "may the Holy Ghost help you do the right and proper thingsthrought the year!
