PRIME MINISTE MITSOTAKIS TALKS WITH PRESIDENT MACRON IN CORSIKA




In Complete Agreement Over Turkish Aggression

The Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and the French President, Emmanuel Macron, are in "complete agreement" over the way forward in response to the Turkish expansionary actions in the eastern Mediterranean, according to publications following the talks of the two leaders.


Both agreed that Turkey should be sanctioned by the European Union unless it withdraws its warships for Greek waters and agrees to have talks with Greece for de-escalating tension in the region.


Macron met Mitsotakis during a summit, in Corsica, of leaders of countries with Mediterranian borders, "Turkey is no longer a partner in this region", the French President told reporters on Thursday before the summit,  "We Europeans need to be clear about its inadmissible behaviour" the Associated Press reporter heard President Macron saying.


Greek sources said that Prime Minister  Mitsotakis will reveal more details about his meeting with  President Macron
