          YIANNIS MAKRIYIANNIS TAKES STAGE AT TOP US UNIVERSITY

 

 

Yiannis Makriyiannis, a hero of the Greek War of Independence, will be the subject of a performance entitled: “Makriyiannis Unplugged”, in Los Angeles a UCLAI Freud Playhouse on the 26^th of March.  Acclaimed Greek actor, director and acting teacher, Yiorgos Karamihos, will perform the work “Makriyiannis Unplugged,” at the top university.

 

The work, which is a tribute to Makriyiannis and was adapted from passages of his memories describing life during the war of independence against the Ottoman Turks.
