Corsica the fourth largest island in the Mediterranean was once a popular destination for the Greeks of Mani who fled from the Ottoman rule.
Towards the end of the 17th century, unable to live under Ottoman rule rebelious Maniots fled to Corsica where they founded theit own little Mani where they kept their traditions, faith and language. in their new homeland,
