PASTA FROLLA JAM TART

 3 cups plain flour

1 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
1 egg
250 g cold butter, cubed
Pinch of salt
1 jar of apricot jam 

Mix the flour, sugar, sslt, and baking powder in a bowl until well combined. Add the egg and butter and pulse until a soft pliable dough is formed,  Cover and refrigerate for 1/2 an hour.

Roll out the dough and with 3/4 of the dough line a round Pyrex dish, spread with jam and shape rolls with the remaining dough and place them over the jam in a criss-cross pattern Bake for 30 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 C (350 F) until the dough turns golden and the jam bubbles.

Remove from the oven, cool, and serve sliced in wedges.
