CLIMATE CHANGE

In Europe, we are experiencing an exceptional change in temperatures these summer months.  Greece, which usually has hot and dry summers, is cool and extremely rainy this year, parts of the country have been inundated, houses have flooded and unfortunately, seven of our compatriots have drowned by these catastrophic downpours, the last victim being an eight-month-old baby that was swept away from its mother's arms by rushing waters, one person is still missing.

The UK, France and other northern European countries are experiencing an anomaly, scorching temperatures mounting to 35 - 40 C degrees, with very little rain.  According to weather experts, these abnormal phenomena are due to climate change. which apparently, will become more evident in the not so distant future.

We, the residents of this planet have both rights and obligations, and one of our most important tasks is to protect and preserve future generations from climate change.

In spite of 35 years of scientific prognoses, Earth's temperatures are rising to dangerous levels.  So we must radically reduce burning fossil fuel, such as coal, crude oil and natural gas. We must only use nuclear, solar, water and wind powers in order to save this planet and humanity.
