Scenes of horror in Kabul, Afghanistan as thousands of
people ran to the tarmac in a frenzied rush to catch the planes that were
leaving the country for the last time.
They were desperate to escape the clutches of the Taliban,
which, unfortunately, had taken over the entire city. The barbarian Taliban have
made incredible inroads in the country, over the last week, while American and international nationals
made plans to evacuate their embassies and leave for their respective countries.
Many of the desperate citizens of Afghanistan would have
wanted to leave even if the Taliban were not in control of the city and the
international pull out in an orderly way as planned. The scene was difficult to watch, the world
horrified in what was unfolding in front of them, people being killed and
imprisoned.
