The Spanish Flag |
Catalonia's Coat of Arms |
These are the results of the Catalan elections:
Cs Citizens 25% of the vote 37 seats
JxC Together for Catalonia 21.7% of the vote 34 seats
ERC Republican Left 21.4% of the vote 32 seats
PSC Socialists 13.9% of the vote 17 seats
Comu 7.4% of the vote 8 seats
CUP Popular Unity Candidacy 4.5% of the vote 4 seats
PP Peoples Party 4.2% of the vote 3 seats
Although the anti-independence Cs Citizens Party gained the most of the seats, it, apparently, doesn't have sufficient willing political partners, in the new Spanish Parliament, to form a government, because the results were so very close. On the other hand, three Catalonian successional parties declared victory because they jointly obtained 70 seats in the 135-seat Parliament. Win-win election results! Nevertheless, we hope that. in the very near future, they will agree to form a coalition government that will rule Catalonia with unity and harmony.
