We already know the Thessaloniki is, currently, suffering
the deadliest attack of the coronavirus pandemic.
Very irresponsible young people held an illegal party, in the
city.
When the police arrived, they found out that about 20
individuals were there, without wearing masks or keeping distances and other
health measures, moreover they were breaking the curfew imposed on a national level in Greece.
According to the Greek media, the individuals were French
and Spanish nationals studying in Thessaloniki’s universities. The police arrested two of the organizers of
the illegal party, fining them 3.000 Euros each. They also issued fines for those who attended
the party, for breaking the curfew and for not wearing masks etc.

Thessaloniki’s hospitals have reached their limits and a city-wide lockdown had been imposed before the national lockdown. We must be very cautious, and we must strictly follow all the instructions imposed by our government, so we can all be safe and survive this terrible infection until the vaccine can be offered broadly, internationally.
We must keep in mind the tragedy of the patients and their families who cannot even bid farewell to each other. due to this terrible plague.
