Facing rising tension and anxiety over Turkey's energy exploration efforts in Greek and Cypriot waters, the European Union called for a dialogue and an end to the continuous acts of aggression by Turkey.
If Turkey denies the warning, European officials said that sanctions will be imposed. The EU's most recent announcement on the incident comes because Turkey sent research ships to explore oil and gas sources in the Greek continental shelf, which is Greek territory.

Greece is upgrading its arms system, buying new equipment and keeping its warships at full alert.
New rhetoric from Turkish officials has even mentioned occupying the Greek Aegean islands of Chios and Kastelorizo. Growing tensions in the region are bubbling to the surface as there is a remarkable turn to nationalism in Turkey, along with a plan of expanding their country's territory and resources, called the "Blue Homeland".
Greece is in a very critical situation because of Turkey's stark greed and bellicosity. Erdogan besides being a violendictator is a ridiculous personality, who is hated, violently, by many Turkish patriots.
On the 2nd September, Erdogan continued his delirium:
"Sink Greek ships - Shoot down Greek planes".
Unfortunately, it needs only a madman to start a war. The bells of war are ringing.
