The blame for mediating between Greece and Turkey and the simmering crisis in the eastern Mediterranean has shifted to Berlin and the European Union, after the apparent failure of the effort by NATO to booker a dialogue.

Jens Stoltenberg

The EU seeks a way to diffuse the crisis.    NATO's Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg, has once again sided with Turkey. when CNN journalist Hala Gerani, asked him three times about Turkey violating Greek interests and he refused all three times to answer the questions, claiming that Ankara is under pressure because they are fighting in three fronts, Syria, Iraq and Russia.  Stoltenberg seems as if the is representing Turkey, not the Alliance and his answers to all Gerani's questions were so pro-Turkey that makes one think that he is employed by Ankara.

The United Nation's convention in maritime law, which Turkey has not signed, support Greece and the status quo.  The European  Union has threatened to sanction Turkey's oil and gas sector which could be broadened if the aggression continues.  If Erdogan wishes to be regarded as a responsible leader then he must act like one.   Athens is preparing for all scenarios, concerning  Greek- Turkish relations.

Greek authorities have confirmed  10.524 cases of COVID -19  within Greece's borders according to the National Public Health Organisation.  We were doing rather well at the beginning of the pandemic. but because some of our compatriots did not act with responsibility the coronavirus cases were multiplied.   Masks have become mandatory in all closed spaces such as stores, all forms of public transportation, taxis, lifts, hospitals, beauty salons and naturally educational institutions when they open on the 14th of September.

Some regions have made masks mandatory for outside areas also, and the fine for not wearing a mask is 150 euros.
